Olivaro is a liquid dietary supplement made to support glucose metabolism as part of a daily routine. You take 1 or 2 droppers a day by mouth, from a 30 mL bottle. Each 1 mL dropper holds 0.7 mcg of chromium and a 200 mg blend of 22 plant extracts, amino acids and compounds. It does not replace diabetes medicine, and packs start at $49 a bottle.

How you take it
Four steps, straight from the label: shake, fill one dropper, swallow, repeat at the same time each day.
Liquids settle. The label asks you to shake well before each use.
One full dropper is 1 mL. Put it in your mouth and swallow. The label allows a second dropper the same day.
No time of day is printed. Tie it to something you already do daily, like your morning coffee or breakfast.
Day 30 is when refund claims open; day 60 is when they close. Share your log with your doctor.

One bottle holds 30 mL, and one dropper is 1 mL. At 1 dropper a day, a bottle lasts 30 days. At 2 droppers a day, it lasts 15 days, and the cost per day doubles. Plan your order with that in mind, using the dosage page and the price table.

Chromium has its own line. The other 22 are listed in label order, from most to least by weight, inside one 200 mg proprietary blend per dropper.

Full profileDivide 200 mg by 22 and you get about 9 mg per ingredient, on average. The real split is secret, because a proprietary blend only has to show its total and list ingredients by weight (21 CFR 101.36 (eCFR)). Single-ingredient studies usually used far more. Gymnema studies used 200 to 400 mg a day on their own (Drugs.com, Gymnema monograph).
The full table, with research doses for each ingredient, is on the ingredients page.

Dose vs research
Each bar shows the most Olivaro can supply at the label maximum, next to the low end of what studies used.
How to read the bars: the top bar is the most Olivaro can give at the label maximum of 2 mL a day; the lower bar is the smallest daily amount tested in the cited research. Chromium comes straight from the label. Blend ingredients use an even split of 400 mg across 22 ingredients (about 18 mg); the true split is not published. None of these studies used Olivaro.
Chromium is exact: 1.4 mcg at 2 droppers, against 200 to 1,000 mcg in studies (NIH ODS, Chromium). For blend ingredients the bar uses the average share, because the real amount is not disclosed. It could be higher or lower than the bar.
Evidence
No trial of Olivaro has been published. The table sums up the research on its best-known ingredients.
| Ingredient | Best finding | Applies to Olivaro? |
|---|---|---|
| Chromium | Mixed results at 200 to 1,000 mcg a day (NIH ODS, Chromium) | 0.7 mcg per dropper, far below |
| Panax ginseng | Modest drop in fasting glucose, no effect on A1C, mostly root extracts (Shishtar et al., PLoS One 2014) | Label lists an aerial (leaf and stem) extract; amount hidden |
| Gymnema | Small trials at 200 to 400 mg a day (Drugs.com, Gymnema monograph) | Amount hidden; average share about 9 mg |
| African mango | Weak, small trials at about 300 mg a day (NIH ODS, Dietary Supplements for Weight Loss) | Amount hidden |
| Supplements in general | No supplement has been shown to treat diabetes (NCCIH, Diabetes and Dietary Supplements); no clear benefit without a deficiency (ADA, Vitamins & Supplements) | Applies |
What has strong evidence is lifestyle change. In the Diabetes Prevention Program, a goal of 7% weight loss and 150 minutes of activity a week cut type 2 diabetes risk by 58% (NIDDK, Diabetes Prevention Program). Read what the DPP found.
Your numbers
A1C and fasting glucose tell you more than any supplement label. These are the NIDDK ranges.
Ranges from NIDDK (NIDDK, Diabetes & Prediabetes Tests). Only a lab test and a clinician can diagnose. Low blood sugar is generally below 70 mg/dL (NIDDK, Low Blood Glucose).
U.S. counts from the CDC: 40.1 million people with diabetes and 115.2 million adults with prediabetes (CDC, National Diabetes Statistics Report). If you do not know your A1C, the A1C test guide explains how to get one.
Safety
Five yes-or-no questions. One yes means a talk with your doctor or pharmacist first.
The bottle also holds xylitol, which is dangerous to dogs (FDA, Paws Off Xylitol). See safety and who should not take it.

Routine
The label gives the amount, not the time. Tie the dropper to something you do every day.
Shake the bottle, take 1 mL by mouth. Tie it to coffee or breakfast so it becomes automatic.
Some people use the label's second dropper at dinner. Two a day means a new bottle every 15 days.
A 10 to 15 minute walk fits the activity goal used in the Diabetes Prevention Program.
Guarana and green tea add some caffeine, so keep the dropper away from bedtime.
Timing is our suggestion; the bottle gives only the amount. Program details (NIDDK, Diabetes Prevention Program).

The label says 1 or 2 droppers full a day, placed in the mouth and swallowed. One dropper is 1 mL. Never take more than 2 droppers a day, and shake the bottle first.
No study shows that Olivaro lowers A1C. The best ginseng research found a small drop in fasting glucose and no A1C change (Shishtar et al., PLoS One 2014). Ask your doctor about A1C testing and treatment.
Ask your doctor first. Chromium, ginseng and other ingredients may add to diabetes medicines, and low blood sugar is a risk with some drugs (NIDDK, Low Blood Glucose). Never change a diabetes medicine on your own.
The label does not say. Guarana and green tea both contain caffeine, but the whole blend is 200 mg per dropper, so the caffeine is likely small. People sensitive to caffeine should still watch for jitters.
The label lists no sugar. It is sweetened with stevia extract and xylitol, plus organic lemon extract and natural flavors. Xylitol is dangerous to dogs, so store the bottle out of their reach (FDA, Paws Off Xylitol).
